These aren’t just simple tops designed to look like corsets. Our styles are authentic corsetry pieces, constructed with boning, structured panels, and closure systems designed to support the bust and visibly define the waist.
Most of our corsets are made-to-order. Before production begins, we’ll ask for your measurements so that the design can be tailored as closely as possible to your body shape. This step ensures a more precise fit and a result that’s very different from that of a standard corset chosen solely based on a ready-to-wear size.
Inspired by traditional corsetry, the construction varies by style: overbust corsets that cover the chest, underbust corsets, more classic silhouettes, or more contemporary finishes. Shiny materials, textured fabrics, lacing, and graphic details allow you to choose a style that is either more subtle or much more bold.
Worn with a skirt or pants, the corset naturally becomes the centerpiece of the outfit. If you’re looking for a lighter design, our women’s bustiers offer another way to highlight the bust and waist.

The difference between a fashion corset and a genuine women’s corset lies primarily in its construction. Boning, structured panels, lacing, and waist shaping are all designed to work together to support the bust and visibly reshape the silhouette.
At Dark Boudoir, our corsets are made-to-order based on your measurements. Your bust, waist, and hips allow us to tailor the design more precisely to your body type, rather than limiting you to a standard size. This made-to-order process takes a little more time, but results in a corset that fits the wearer’s body much better.
Depending on the style, you can choose an overbust corset, which envelops and supports the bust, or an underbust corset, which focuses more on the waist and is easy to wear with different tops. The corset’s shape, construction, boning, and lacing all influence the support it provides and the final look.
Corsetry is designed for all body types. Our plus-size corsets follow the same made-to-order manufacturing principle, with special attention paid to structure, support, and fit.
